The Basics That Should Go Into Your Conference Room's Design

Blog

Are you in the process of building a conference room for your business? If so, you'll want to make sure that the room is set up with some basic design functions in mind so that it works for you. Here are a few things that should definitely go into your conference room's design.

Review Monitor Placement

It's important to have a monitor in your conference room so that you can review documents during a meeting. Make sure that the monitor is large enough so that everyone can see it comfortably from anywhere in the conference room. This means that you should pick a table that works best for the room that is based on sitting around the monitor.

For example, if your conference room is very long and rectangular shaped, you should use a rectangular-shaped conference table. The monitor can sit at the head of one of the ends of the table so that people on both sides can see it. If you have a square-shaped room, consider a conference table that is a half circle. The monitor can be placed on the side of the wall facing the flat end of the table.

Webcam Placement

A common mistake that people make when designing a conference room is placing the webcam at the top of the review monitor. This can create a very bad camera angle where it looks like you're looking at the room from a security camera. Try placing the camera below the monitor so that it is at eye level with the people when they are sitting down around the conference table. This is a much friendlier height for participants watching your video feed.

Microphone Placement

You need to consider microphone placement in your conference room so that the participants can hear everyone. It is best to have a conference phone that sits in the center of the table so that it can hear everyone clearly. However, it helps to have a conference phone that supports additional microphones. These can be placed on the conference table to pick up the voices of the people sitting further away from the microphone. This will help ensure that everyone can be heard and their voice is clear, without having to move positions to sit closer to the microphone.

Good Audio Is Music To Your Guests' Ears

I'm glad you decided to stop by. My name is Duarte Ribeiro. I decided to create this website because I am obsessed about good sound quality and I am tired of events that have unnecessarily bad audio and visual. For some, it may not be noticeable, but to others, the audio can be like nails down a chalkboard. For that reason, I have begun researching sound systems on my own time and have been slowly creating content that may be helpful to anyone who will be holding an event or anyone else who wants to use audio equipment for an event.
